It´s now Saturday evening and we´ve really begun to feel at home here in Spain. The weather is just amazing - has been warm and sunny every day - so we won´t mention that again!!!
This is a very good campsite, with most of the pitches occupied. The majority are huge German and Dutch caravans and motorhomes, but a fair smattering of Brits too. There´s no grass, but the pitches are bordered by green hedges and various pine trees with small grey stone chippings underfoot. These are fine, except that we are forever walking the stones into the van. There´s a beautiful outdoor pool (only person we´ve seen in it so far is our Bernard and he didn´t stay long!) and a heated covered one as well. That´s the one we´ve tried a couple of times. Also a restaurant on site where we had our breakfast this morning (only served at weekends). The huge sandy beach is about 10 mins on foot, 2 mins by bike.
Today we´ve been for an explore along the coast by bike. There´s so much new building going on, you are never far from huge tower cranes and building sites. But most of it is quite tasteful and only a very few apartments are more than 5 storeys. The prom along the seafront is a tiled pavement, wide enough for walkers and cyclists, scattered with palm trees and benches. There´s also palm trees growing in the sand on the beach, so there´s always a bit of shade when we need it. Anyway, this is just so you get the picture!
So really we don´t have a great deal to report on so far, as its all so very laid back here and we just can´t help relaxing a lot. Doesn´t sound like us, does it? But we promise we shall do something really exciting eventually!!
For the time being, we shall just continue with the barbecueing (you should have been here for the fantastic trout John cooked up for us tonight - followed by chocky-bananas)!
Looking forward to any news any of you may send us,
Love Ann & John

Well, its good to hear about all your sunny weather, you sure don't want to hear about our torrants and storms including deaths (due to the weather)in the west country.
We have just got through a very busy w/e at St Paul's with a Psalmathon fund-raiser for the organ which needs a 25K uplift!! We sang solidly from 0930 to 1630 with a lunch thrown in and made it to psalm 83 out of 150. One psalm was a 76 verser but didn't manage to reach the 119 verser! Then yesterday we fed 90 at the parish (curry) lunch with puds to follow. Then there was a power failiure in the kitchen which put us back to the stone age with the washing up!!!!
That's all for now will blog you again soon
G & J
